Mirchi Campus Connect was organized in association with Radio Mirchi in the JNIT Campus. |
Students enjoyed the Fun, Frolic and Masti with the RJ’s –Monia and Lucky from Radio Mirchi
Students participated in on- the -spot games and quizzes. Prizes were distributed to winners on the spot. |

Book Mark Making Competition was organized for the 2nd year and 3rd year student’s branch wise and year wise. |
Overwhelming response was received by students as their creativity found an outlet on this platform .Students were made to work in teams as the whole class was given a task of making 60 bookmarks for I year students and for teachers day.
Each branch nominated 2 best entries of book marks which were displaced on the wall magazine and then judged.

Orientation Day for I year students was organized |
The new batch of students was warmly welcomed in the JNIT Family by faculty and students. The second yr seniors broke the ice with the Juniors and introduced them to the culture of JNIT.

A live performance of Pandit Tejendar Majumdar on the Sarod and Ustad Akram Khan on the Tabla was organized in the campus in association with SPIC-MACAY. |
The performers mesmerized the students and faculty alike in this yearly activity that is organized by SDA CELL. It was sheer good chance to see them perform live and connect art with science and technology. It was as if a bridge was being build and the sharing of different cultures in music coming to a confluence.

In this competition students had to pin down their special messages or feelings for their teachers. The three best and meaningful messages were rewarded.

Teachers Day was celebrated in the college |
Students presented a program for the faculty and staff of the college suggesting their sincere regard for the mentors.
The program was packed with fun activities and quizzes for the faculty where the roles were reversed. |

ALL INDIA ESSAY WRITING EVENT 2010 in association with Shri Ram Chandra Mission and in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre For India And Bhutan was organized in the college for all the students.
Topic of essay :
“From Ambition to Aspiration ,From Acquiring to Becoming” |
About 30 students presented their essay entries in this competition out of which 6 best entries were selected on the college lever and were presented to be further submitted in the Regional and National Level competition.
The event was organized in this year to commemorate the UN INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF YOUTH 2010 TO 2011.

Nearly 100 students participated in this activity. On the Spot Debate Competition, and B-Quiz was organized to test the IQ and Confidence of the students .The winners were awarded for their abilities:

Infosys Campus Connect Program 2010 Rolled Out in the campus. The focus would be Communication Skills and Over All Personality Development. |
Around 120 students (2 branches of 4th year students) batch of Campus Connect Program. They would get certification from Infosys on the completion of the workshop and after clearing the quality check done by the personnel’s from Infosys in the month of March 2011. |

intercollegiate talent competition in association with Radio Mirchi was organized in the college |
This talent hunt tested the creativity, concentration and memory of the students in the form of fun filled activities .Two best students were selected as Mr. JNIT and Ms. JNIT. These two students would compete in the state level competition. The winner of the final round would be going on Air with Radio Mirchi along with coverage of College information.

Special Lecture was organized on Soft Skills in the campus. |
Mr. G Balachandran International Training Fellow, HRD Consultant and Certification Commissioner of JCI University, USA delivered this lecture. The audience was awestruck with his eloquence and power of communication. |

JNIT ‘S Phoenix-10, Fresher’s Fiesta was organized to welcome the juniors. The guest of Honor, Prof Y. S. Sisodia, graced the occasion. |
A grand party was organized for the first year and second year students. The evening was lit with paraphernalia of programs like dances, songs, skits, ramp show, and musical performances and also a special performance by the musical band-THAAR.the program was followed by dinner.

SDA and Rotaract Club Donation Drive |
A donation drive was organized for the faculty and students to donate generously to the needy. The contributions of cash and kind were to be donated to the Mother Teresa Home, which has about 180 inmates who are dealing with multiple health deformities and handicaps.
A team of Faculty and student volunteers interacted with the inmates on 9th November and distributed the contributions collected. |

The Pilot Batch of Infosys Campus Connect was handed over with the certificates of the workshop certifying the successful completion of the soft skills training. |
Nearly 50 students completed the training .A commemorative photograph was taken on this occasion. The certificates of the completion of the training were given away in the ceremony. |

Bhaskar–E-Aazam, State Level Inter Collegiate Cultural Competition in association with Dainik Bhaskar various events will be organized |
Final event will be in January 2011 .there will be 2 preliminary rounds in which each college will be given 45 minutes to present all their cultural events like dance, song, skit ,musical performances. Different teams of students will participate in different events.
Jnit will participate in each category of event. |

Workshop on “Microcontroller and Interfacing” |
Thirty two students of III year ECE and two technicians participated in the workshop. The workshop included the basic contents of Digital Electronics, Micro-controller & Embedded Systems. The following four projects has been completed by the students during the workshop:
- LED Blinking.
- Lighting System.
- Seven Segment Display.
- Light Follower with Robot.

|
About 12 students will be presenting a skit on women power in this festival. The focus of the event is to involve the youth in social change through active citizenship.
All students will be given participation certificates and will contribute in the awareness of social change that is much needed in the present scenario. |

The Department of English has starts I hour of extra English classes after college hours, for the students who are interested to improve their communication. The students are being trained to gain more confidence in their presentation skills through audio-visual aids and equipments. |

“Spell Bee Contest” for the first year students |
A spelling competition for the first year student’s branch wise will be organized in the weekly activity of the SDA club in two rounds. The first round will be in individual branches. Then the best three students will qualify for the 2nd round and will represent their branch in the intra branch spell bee contest and then the best students will be awarded appropriately. Nearly 400 students will participate in this competition.
The command of the students on the English language and usage will be tested. |
